Sanitary Threaded Stem Caster

This NSF-listed swivel stem caster carries a 275 lb load rating and rolls on a 4 in polyurethane wheel. The steel frame has a zinc-plated finish and uses a Delrin bearing for smooth rotation. It is designed for sanitary environments and non-marking floor contact.

Verify Stem and Clearance Before Installing

Confirm your equipment accepts a 1/2 In.-13 x 2-1/2 in threaded stem before ordering. Ensure the 5 in mounting height fits the available space and that the 1 1/4 in wheel width matches the fork or axle opening. The wheel diameter is 4 in, so check ground clearance accordingly.

Replaces Worn or Fixed Casters Up To 299 lb

This caster upgrades equipment currently using fixed wheels or damaged swivel units rated up to 299 lb. The built-in brake adds safety when stationary, and the non-marking polyurethane protects floors that metal or rubber wheels would scuff. Not suited for loads exceeding the 275 lb rating.

Questions about this item

Does the caster arrive ready to install or do I need to buy a mounting nut separately?

The caster ships with a 1/2 in.-13 threaded stem 2-1/2 in. long; a matching nut is not included and must be sourced separately.

Should I choose the 4 in. polyurethane wheel or a larger diameter for a 275 lb cart?

The 4 in. wheel with 1 1/4 in. width is rated for 275 lb; a larger wheel is only needed if your load exceeds that figure.

Will the 5 in. mounting height change when the 275 lb load is applied?

The 5 in. mounting height is the nominal dimension; the Delrin bearing and polyurethane tread are designed to maintain height under the rated 275 lb load.
