Zoro Select Plate Caster Swivel

The Zoro Select 24WK16 plate caster swivels to provide maneuverable mobility for wheelbarrows and carts. A nylon wheel resists marking floors while supporting a 550 lb load rating. This single-wheel caster suits light industrial or outdoor equipment that requires smooth directional changes. Buyers needing fixed-direction casters or higher-capacity wheels should consider other models.

Verify Mounting Plate And Clearance

Confirm that the mounting plate pattern matches the existing bolt holes on your wheelbarrow or cart frame. Ensure the 2 in wheel diameter and 1 in wheel width fit within the available clearance without contacting the axle or chassis. The leveling pad brake type requires a flat contact surface to engage properly. Check that the 3 1/4 in overall height does not alter the equipment stance beyond acceptable limits.

Sustained Load On Nylon Tread

Under continuous 550 lb loading the nylon tread maintains shape without flat-spotting during extended stationary periods. Swivel bearings operate consistently when the caster remains under full rated weight across long transport runs. The non-marking material prevents floor residue buildup during repeated indoor-outdoor transitions. Heat buildup in the wheel core stays minimal during prolonged rolling on hard surfaces.

Questions about this item

What comes with the Value Brand 24WK16 plate caster and what must I buy separately?

The caster is a complete single unit with a swivel plate, leveling pad brake and non-marking nylon wheel. Mounting bolts for the plate are not included and must be sourced to match your cart or wheelbarrow frame.

Which version of this caster should I choose for my wheelbarrow or cart?

The 24WK16 model is the only configuration offered; it provides a 550 lb load rating, 2 inch wheel diameter, 1 inch wheel width and a 3 1/4 inch overall height. Select it when those exact figures match your equipment specifications.

What does the 550 lb load rating mean when the caster is installed on my cart?

It indicates the maximum weight this single caster can support under normal use. If your cart uses four casters the combined capacity is higher, but never exceed 550 lb on any one corner to avoid wheel deformation or brake failure.
