Swivel Plate Caster for Yard Equipment

This 4-inch poly swivel plate caster supports a 350 lb load rating and is designed for wheelbarrows and carts. The total lock brake secures both wheel rotation and swivel movement when engaged. Non-marking polyurethane tread on a polyolefin core protects surfaces while resisting wear.

Behaviour Under Sustained Load

The polyurethane tread maintains consistent rolling resistance across repeated use on hard or uneven ground. Total lock braking prevents drift when the equipment is stationary under full capacity. Polyolefin core construction resists deformation during prolonged static loading.

Load Rating Decides Fit

A 350 lb per caster rating determines whether this part matches the combined weight of your cart plus its maximum payload. Buyers needing higher capacity per wheel should select a different caster. California Proposition 65 warnings apply to this product.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 350 lb poly caster generate during all-day use?

The polyurethane wheel on a polyolefin core runs silently and produces no measurable heat, so continuous rolling on flat surfaces adds no thermal load or audible rumble to the workspace.

What mounting hardware must I already have to install the 4 in plate caster?

You need a flat mounting surface drilled for the standard four-bolt plate pattern and bolts or lag screws sized to that pattern; the caster itself supplies only the top plate and swivel assembly.

Will the 350 lb total-lock caster work alongside older fixed wheels on the same cart?

Yes — the total-lock brake freezes both swivel and wheel, letting you mix it with fixed or swivel-only casters; just match the 4 in wheel diameter and 1 1/4 in tread width so the deck stays level.
