Brazing Alloy 1/8 In 1 lb
This Value Brand brazing alloy comes as flux-coated rods for general brazing work. The low-fuming bronze composition contains zero percent silver and meets AWS classification RBCuZn-C. Each rod measures 36 in overall length with a 1/8 in diameter, supplied in a 1 lb container.
Installation notes
Flux coating simplifies joint preparation because the flux activates during heating. Heat the base metal to the solidus point of 590 Degrees F and flow the alloy up to the liquidus of 630 Degrees F. Overheating past the capacity temperature of 750 Degrees F can cause excessive fuming and weaken the joint.
Who this suits
Suitable for fabricators and repair technicians who need a flux-coated bronze brazing rod with 71 ksi tensile strength and 64 ksi yield strength. Not for users who require a silver-bearing alloy for higher strength or electrical conductivity, or those needing a bare rod for controlled flux application.

Questions about this item
How can I confirm the brazing rod is flowing correctly after heating?
The flux-coated rod should melt smoothly between 1,590 °F solidus and 1,630 °F liquidus, producing a uniform bronze fillet without excessive fuming.
What comes in the 1 lb container and what extra items are needed?
The package contains flux-coated RBCuZn-C rods, 1/8 in diameter and 36 in long; a compatible torch capable of reaching 1,750 °F and appropriate safety gear must be supplied separately.
Which alloy specification should I select for general-purpose bronze brazing?
Choose the RBCuZn-C (AWS classification) low-fuming bronze rod with 0 % silver content, 71 ksi tensile strength and 64 ksi yield strength for standard structural joints.
