Tread Material and Load Rating

This polyurethane-tread wheel on an aluminum core carries a 1050 lb load rating within the 1000 to 2999 lb range. It measures 5 in diameter by 2 in width and uses a roller bearing for rotation.

Axle Fit and Hub Clearance

The wheel accepts a 1/2 in axle and has a 2 3/16 in hub length. No spanner bushing is included, so verify that your cart or wheelbarrow axle matches the bore and that the hub fits between the fork legs.

Non-Marking Firmness for Hard Surfaces

The 92 Shore A polyurethane is firm and non-marking, suiting concrete, epoxy or tile floors where softer rubber would leave streaks. It is not suited for applications that require a pneumatic cushion or a wider tread for loose ground.

Questions about this item

Does the 1050 lb caster wheel come with the spanner bushing and axle, or do I need to buy them separately?

The wheel is supplied without a spanner bushing; a 1/2 in axle must be sourced separately to complete the installation.

Which load rating should I choose if my cart carries between 1000 and 2999 lb?

The 1050 lb rating suits loads at the lower end of the 1000 to 2999 lb range; select a higher-rated wheel if the fully loaded cart will exceed 1050 lb.

What does the 92 Shore A hardness mean for day-to-day use on a workshop floor?

A 92 Shore A polyurethane tread is firm enough to roll easily under heavy loads while remaining non-marking on finished floors.
