55 Gal Drum Dolly 2000 Lb Capacity

This drum dolly is built to move 55 gallon steel drums around a workshop or yard. It suits maintenance teams and plant operators who need to reposition full containers without a forklift. The fixed rim catch holds the drum in place while the casters roll.

Easy Installation And Common Issues

No assembly is required; the unit arrives ready to use. Simply set the drum onto the round open deck and the fixed rim catch engages automatically. The main limitation is that the dolly fits only steel drums up to 23 3/4 inches in diameter and 23 1/2 inches tall.

Load Capacity And Container Fit

The dolly is rated for a 2000 lb load capacity and is designed specifically for 55 gallon steel drums. Powder coated steel frame construction supports the weight while four inch caster wheels provide mobility on smooth floors. Buyers needing to move plastic drums or larger containers should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the dolly is working properly once the drum is loaded?

Roll the loaded drum a short distance; the four-inch casters should move smoothly and the deck height of four-and-a-half inches should keep the drum stable without wobble.

What components come in the box and what must be purchased separately?

The dolly frame and casters are supplied fully assembled; no additional hardware is required to use it with a standard 55-gallon steel drum.

Which capacity version should I choose for a 55-gallon steel drum?

The 2000-pound capacity model is the only version listed and matches the 55-gallon drum size specified.
