Artist Paint Brush #6

The Value Brand #6 artist paint brush uses synthetic bristles on a polypropylene handle. It suits artists and decorators applying oil or water-based coatings to concrete, metal or wood. The soft filament stiffness supports smooth strokes on rough or smooth surfaces.

Build fit: synthetic filament

The tin-plated ferrule secures the 3/4 inch thick bristles to the round plastic handle. Mixed synthetic filaments work with all paints and coatings without shedding. The brush frees the user from matching separate tools to different bases or substrates.

Sustained use: soft stiffness

Soft bristle stiffness maintains shape during extended sessions on walls or detailed work. Synthetic material resists solvent breakdown from oil and water bases alike. The 1 15/16 inch bristle length holds enough coating to reduce reload frequency.

Questions about this item

How long do the synthetic bristles stay soft when used all day with oil-based paint?

The soft synthetic filaments are designed for all paints and coatings, including oil-based types, and maintain flexibility during extended sessions.

Does the tin-plated ferrule get hot or slip after hours of continuous brushing?

The tin-plated ferrule resists corrosion and stays secure on the polypropylene handle, so heat buildup or loosening is not an issue during long use.

What surface should I have ready before using this #6 brush on rough concrete?

The brush works on rough or smooth concrete, metal, and wood, so the surface only needs to be clean and dry before application.
