1200 lb Swivel Plate Caster

This polyurethane wheel swivel plate caster supports a 1200 lb load rating for heavy carts and material handling equipment. The non marking polyurethane tread on an aluminium core resists floor damage while rolling smoothly on hard surfaces. A side brake provides positive wheel locking when the load must stay stationary. Suited for workshops, warehouses and industrial carts that move heavy items across flat floors.

Polyurethane tread practical limits

The polyurethane tread handles heavy weight without marking floors but is not designed for continuous high speed towing or powered conveyor use. Polyurethane can chunk or degrade if run over sharp debris, chemicals or extreme heat beyond typical indoor conditions. The 8 in diameter wheel rolls over modest thresholds but will not bridge large gaps or deep potholes. Side brake engagement requires manual operation each time the load is parked.

Mounting and clearance checks

Verify the mounting plate bolt pattern matches the existing holes on your cart or equipment frame before ordering. Confirm the overall installed height fits within the available clearance under the load platform. Ensure the floor surface is flat and free of large obstructions that could exceed the wheel impact capacity. Check that the side brake lever has room to swing without interference from adjacent structure.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 8 inch wheel with 1200 lb rating or a different size?

This caster has an 8 inch polyurethane wheel on an aluminum core rated for 1200 lb. Select it when your equipment needs that diameter and load capacity.

What does the 1200 lb load rating mean once the caster is mounted?

Each caster supports up to 1200 lb. The total capacity of your cart or wheelbarrow depends on how many casters you install and how the weight is distributed.

What mounting standard does the swivel plate use and what does it limit?

The swivel plate bolts to a flat surface. The plate pattern fixes the bolt spacing, so verify your equipment matches before fitting.
