Solid-Deck Cabinet Dolly

This black powder-coated steel dolly supports loads up to 1000 lb on a solid platform measuring 24 1/2 in deep by 36 1/2 in wide. It is built for moving heavy cabinets, appliances or stacked boxes across workshop and warehouse floors. The lipped deck helps keep items from sliding off during transport.

Four casters and a low deck

Two swivel casters and two swivel casters with brakes give steering control and a positive lock when the load must stay put. The 3 in polyurethane wheels roll smoothly on concrete and epoxy coatings. The platform sits 6 in high with a lowered height of 5 in, so tipping a cabinet onto the deck requires minimal lift.

Capacity and headroom

The 1000 lb rating handles most residential and light-commercial cabinets, tool chests and vending machines. Loads that exceed the rating or have a very high centre of gravity can make the dolly unstable, especially on ramps or uneven surfaces. It is not suited for oversized items that overhang the 24 by 36 in deck or for loads that must be lifted higher than 6 in.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the dolly rolls smoothly and the brakes hold once I assemble it?

Push the dolly unloaded to check that all four 3 in polyurethane casters spin freely, then engage the two swivel-with-brake casters and verify the platform stays stationary on a level floor.

What ships with the dolly and what must I supply myself?

The steel powder-coated frame, solid 24 1/2 in by 36 1/2 in deck, and four casters — two swivel and two swivel with brake — arrive fully assembled; no extra hardware or tools are required.

Which capacity and deck size should I choose for moving heavy cabinets?

This model provides a 1000 lb load rating on a 24 1/2 in deep by 36 1/2 in wide solid deck, suited for large cabinet bases and similar heavy items.
