240 mm Glass Desiccator

This 240 mm clear glass desiccator provides a controlled dry environment for laboratory samples and moisture-sensitive components. The blue-tinted cabinet design includes a porcelain plate and a single shelf for organising contents. It is supplied new and ready for use with either disposable or reusable desiccant.

Porcelain Plate and Shelf Layout

The unit stands 12 1/4 inches tall with an internal diameter of 240 mm and 3.93 inches of clearance above the plate. The porcelain plate sits at a height of 110 mm, creating a stable base that resists chemical attack. A fitted lid completes the seal to maintain low humidity inside the chamber.

Ready for Desiccant Use

The package includes the lid so the cabinet can be closed immediately after loading. No additional hardware is required to start using disposable or reusable desiccant. The glass and porcelain construction allows visual inspection of the contents without breaking the dry atmosphere.

Questions about this item

What is the inside diameter of this desiccator?

The inside diameter is 240 mm, giving you the clear internal width for placing samples or desiccant trays.

How much vertical clearance does the cabinet need?

Overall height is 12 1/4 in with 3.93 in clearance above the plate and a plate height of 110 mm, so allow at least that total vertical space.

How is the desiccator assembled and what step is often missed?

Place the porcelain plate on the lower shelf, add desiccant beneath it, seat the glass body, then fit the blue lid — users often forget the lid seal.
