Tarp dimensions and material
This heavy-duty canvas tarp measures 19 ft 6 in by 29 ft 6 in finished size with a 30 mil thickness. The cotton canvas fabric weighs 15 oz per square yard and features double-stitched seams. Brass grommets with a 0.5 in inside diameter are spaced every 24 in along the edges. The olive green cover is breathable and offers mildew and UV resistance.
Weather resistance and durability
The canvas construction provides water resistance while remaining breathable to reduce condensation buildup. Mildew-resistant treatment helps the material withstand damp conditions over time. UV resistance slows degradation from prolonged sun exposure. Double-stitched seams and brass grommets reinforce stress points for repeated tying and tensioning.
Installation requirements and warnings
Verify that the 19 ft 6 in by 29 ft 6 in finished dimensions suit your coverage area, noting the cut size is 20 x 30 ft. Ensure anchor points align with the 24 in grommet spacing for secure fastening. This product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Buyers needing a fully waterproof or insulated barrier should consider alternative materials.

Questions about this item
Does the 15 oz/sq yd cotton canvas become heavy or trap heat when left in direct sun all day?
The breathable cotton canvas resists UV and mildew while allowing airflow, so it stays cooler than non-breathable tarps during extended sun exposure.
What tie-down hardware do I need to secure the brass grommets spaced 24 in apart?
You will need rope, bungee cords or straps that fit through the .5 in inside-diameter brass grommets placed every 24 in along the perimeter.
Will the finished 19 ft 6 in x 29 ft 6 in size cover the same footprint as my old 20 x 30 ft cut-size tarp?
The finished dimensions are 19 ft 6 in by 29 ft 6 in, which is slightly smaller than a 20 x 30 ft cut size, so coverage will be marginally less.
