Manual 2-Way Brass Ball Valve
This manual two-way ball valve uses a brass body with a chrome-plated brass ball for controlling air, oil, steam and water. The straight two-piece construction provides a full-port flow path and a non-locking handle for direct operation in plumbing and industrial lines. It is supplied new and ready for sweat installation onto copper tubing.
Sweat connection requires copper pipe preparation
Installation is a standard sweat joint: clean the tube ends, apply flux, slide the valve on and solder with a torch. The full-port ball reduces flow restriction but the brass body conducts heat quickly, so protect nearby seals and avoid overheating the ball seat. The non-locking handle offers no security against accidental operation.
For installers needing full-port brass shut-off
This valve suits technicians who need a 600 psi rated brass valve with 150 psi steam capacity and 29.9 in Hg vacuum rating for copper piping systems. It is not for applications requiring a locking handle, 3-A sanitary certification or combustible gas approval. Buyers who need certified sanitary fittings or gas-rated valves should look at other options.
