Kit contents and intended use

The Value Brand Plate Caster Kit supplies four rigid plate casters rated at 1800 lb each. They are built for heavy-duty wheelbarrows, carts or similar equipment that must move substantial loads across flat surfaces.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that the mounting plates on your existing equipment match the bolt pattern of these casters. Confirm the 4 in wheel diameter and 2 in tread width fit the available clearance and that a fixed, non-swivel orientation suits the intended travel path.

Build quality and daily implications

Polypropylene treads on polyolefin cores are non-marking and resist wear on concrete or tile. The absence of brakes or swivel locks means the casters roll freely in a straight line, so plan for separate stopping or steering mechanisms on the host equipment.

Questions about this item

Does the kit include mounting hardware or do I need to buy bolts separately?

The kit contains four complete plate casters with rigid and swivel tops; mounting bolts are not included and must be sourced to match your cart frame.

All four casters look identical — are any of them fixed rather than swivel?

The set mixes rigid and swivel plate casters, each rated at 1800 lb with 4 in polypropylene wheels and no brakes or locks.

What does the 1800 lb rating mean when the casters are fitted to a loaded cart?

Each caster is rated for 1800 lb under ideal conditions; actual capacity depends on floor surface, load distribution and frame stiffness.
