Value Brand Plate Caster Rigid Polyurethane 5 3/16"H

Rigid Plate Caster for Carts

This rigid plate caster mounts directly to wheelbarrows and carts with a fixed orientation that keeps travel straight. It supports a 350 lb load rating on a single polyurethane wheel. The non‑marking tread protects finished floors while the polyolefin core resists cracking. No swivel lock or brake is included.

Capacity and Headroom

The 350 lb rating handles typical garden loads such as soil bags, tools or harvested produce without bottoming out. Polyurethane tread rolls smoothly over pavement and compacted gravel but loses traction on loose sand or wet grass. The rigid design prevents side‑to‑side drift, so it is not suited for tight turning circles.

What the Fixed Mount Changes

Because the caster does not swivel, steering relies on the other wheels or on pushing the cart in a straight line. The absence of a brake means the cart can roll on slopes unless chocked. California Proposition 65 warnings note chemicals linked to cancer and reproductive harm, so wear gloves when installing or servicing the caster.
