Rigid plate caster for carts

This rigid plate caster is built for wheelbarrows and carts that need a fixed rolling direction. It mounts on a flat plate and uses a single polyurethane wheel on a polyolefin core. The unit is new and carries a load rating of 350 lb.

Polyurethane wheel and polyolefin core

The polyurethane tread is non-marking and shaped to a standard profile, helping protect finished floors while resisting wear. The polyolefin core keeps the wheel light and corrosion resistant. No brake or swivel lock is included, so the caster rolls freely in a straight line.

Plate mounting and rigid design

The plate mount bolts directly to the frame of a cart or wheelbarrow for a secure fit. Because the caster is rigid, it does not swivel, making it suitable only for straight-line travel or paired with swivel units for steering. Buyers who need a braking mechanism or a swivel function should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How often will the polyurethane wheel on this rigid caster need replacing under a 350 lb load?

The polyurethane tread is non‑marking and bonded to a polyolefin core; replacement timing depends on floor surface, distance travelled and whether the 350 lb rating is consistently reached.

What stops me from loading this caster beyond its 350 lb rating during continuous use?

The published load rating of 350 lb is the structural limit for the wheel, core and rigid plate; exceeding it risks deformation or premature wear.

Does the rigid plate caster generate noticeable heat or noise when run all day under load?

With no brake or swivel lock, rolling resistance stays low; polyurethane on polyolefin runs quietly and does not build measurable heat at the rated 350 lb.
