Rigid Plate Caster 6 in 1200 lb

This rigid plate caster supports a 1200 lb load rating with a 6 in polyurethane wheel on an aluminum core. The non-marking tread protects floors while the fixed mounting plate provides straight-line stability for heavy carts and equipment. It arrives new and ready to install.

Upgrade from swivel or lower-capacity casters

Swapping a swivel caster for this rigid model eliminates unwanted rotation when precise tracking matters. The jump is worth it when loads approach the 1200 lb rating and the application demands consistent directional control without a brake or swivel lock mechanism.

Polyurethane tread on aluminum core constraints

The polyurethane tread resists wear and chemicals but can develop flat spots under sustained static loads. The aluminum core handles the rated capacity but offers less impact absorption than softer hub materials in rough-floor environments.

Questions about this item

What plate size and bolt pattern does the 6 in rigid caster need for mounting?

The rigid plate caster uses a standard mounting plate; check the plate dimensions and hole spacing on your equipment before ordering.

How do you install the rigid caster and what step is often missed?

Bolt the plate securely to the frame using all mounting holes; the step often missed is tightening every bolt to the same torque so the caster tracks straight.

When will the polyurethane wheel on this 1200 lb caster need replacement?

Replace the wheel when the polyurethane tread shows deep cuts, flat spots or chunking that could affect the 1200 lb load rating.
