  • Non-marking wheel keeps floors clean during moves
  • Rigid plate design provides straight-line stability
  • Aluminium core adds strength without excessive weight

Rigid Plate Caster 8 in

The Value Brand rigid plate caster mounts on a flat plate and does not swivel, so it rolls in a straight line only. It carries a 1200 lb load rating on an 8 in polyurethane wheel with an aluminum core. The wheel is non-marking and ships new.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous weight the polyurethane tread resists flat-spotting better than softer rubber, and the aluminum core keeps the wheel round when the cart sits stationary for long periods. No brake or swivel lock is fitted, so the caster rolls freely until an external stop is applied.

Replaces Worn Fixed Casters

This unit replaces a damaged or undersized fixed caster on wheelbarrows, platform trucks or utility carts that need a straight-tracking wheel. The upgrade is worthwhile when the old wheel marks floors, deforms under load or lacks the 1200 lb capacity required by the application.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 1200 lb rigid plate caster generate during all-day use?

As a non-powered wheel it produces no heat or noise of its own; only the load and floor surface create audible rolling sound.

What mounting hardware must I already have to install the rigid plate caster?

You need four bolts or screws that match the plate hole pattern and a drill or wrench to secure it to your cart frame.

Will the 8 in polyurethane wheel roll smoothly on my older steel‑wheel cart frame?

Yes, the non‑marking polyurethane tread rolls over concrete, asphalt and shop floors without damaging the existing frame.
