Rigid plate caster for carts

This rigid plate caster fits wheelbarrows and utility carts that need a fixed-direction wheel. The polyurethane tread on a polyolefin core is non-marking so it protects garage floors and paved surfaces. It is sold new as a single wheel unit for replacement or custom builds.

Load rating and brake limits

The caster carries a load rating of 250 lb and has no brake or swivel lock fitted. Builders who need a higher capacity than 250 lb or a locking mechanism for stationary safety should select a different model. The fixed rig means the wheel does not swivel, so steering must come from other casters on the equipment.

Plate mounting and daily use

The plate mount bolts directly to the frame of a cart or wheelbarrow with a standard hole pattern. Polyurethane tread resists flat spots when the equipment sits loaded for long periods. The non-marking material keeps workshop and driveway surfaces clean during everyday moves.

Questions about this item

Which load rating should I choose between the 300 lb headline and the 250 lb specification?

The 300 lb figure is the model designation; the tested load rating is 250 lb, so plan for the lower value when sizing the caster for your cart or wheelbarrow.

What does the 3 inch wheel diameter mean for rolling resistance on rough ground?

A 3 inch polyurethane wheel on a polyolefin core rolls smoothly on hard surfaces but will transmit more vibration on gravel or cracked concrete than larger diameters.

How does the plate mounting pattern limit the caster’s swivel action?

The rigid plate caster has no swivel mechanism and no brake, so it only tracks straight; steering must come from swivel casters mounted elsewhere on the equipment.
