Rigid Plate Caster 1500 lb Capacity

This rigid plate caster supports loads up to 1500 lb and mounts directly to equipment frames. The 5 in polyurethane wheel on an aluminium core rolls smoothly while protecting floor surfaces. It is built for industrial carts, heavy dollies and workshop platforms that need fixed-direction travel.

Polyurethane Wheel Non-Marking Tread

The polyurethane tread resists oil, grease and most common solvents without leaving marks on concrete or epoxy floors. A standard tread shape provides consistent contact, but the caster has no brake or swivel lock so it cannot hold position on slopes. Users must add external chocks or locking mechanisms when stationary stability is required.

Replaces Lower-Rated Fixed Casters

This unit replaces fixed casters rated below 1500 lb when equipment weight or load demands increase. The jump is worthwhile when existing wheels deform, mark floors or fail under repeated impact. It is not for applications needing swivel motion, integrated braking or a lower overall mounting height.

Questions about this item

Should I pick a rigid plate caster or a swivel version for my 1500 lb cart?

Choose this rigid plate caster when you need straight-line tracking on a heavy 1500 lb load; pair it with swivel casters only at the steering end.

What does the 1500 lb load rating mean once the caster is mounted on my equipment?

The 1500 lb rating is the maximum safe working load per caster; total capacity depends on the number of casters sharing the weight evenly.

How does the polyurethane tread on an aluminium core perform on concrete floors?

Polyurethane on aluminium resists flat-spotting, rolls quietly, and the non-marking tread protects finished concrete from scuffs.
