Zoro Select 5 in Polyurethane Plate Caster

This Zoro Select rigid plate caster is built for wheelbarrows and carts that need a fixed rolling direction. The polyurethane tread on a polyolefin core supports a 250 lb load rating while protecting floors with a non-marking surface. No swivel lock or brake is included, so the caster rolls straight without steering adjustment.

Non-marking tread and 250 lb capacity

The polyurethane wheel resists marring concrete, epoxy or finished floors during heavy use. A 5 in diameter and 1 1/4 in width distribute weight evenly across the tread shape, while the polyolefin core adds structural rigidity. These material choices reduce floor damage without sacrificing the rated load capacity for yard equipment.

Suits fixed-direction yard carts.

This caster fits builders who want a rigid, non-marking wheel for straight-line transport on hard surfaces. Buyers who need steering flexibility should choose a swivel model, and those requiring parking security must add a separate brake system. The Proposition 65 notice also applies for California installations.

Questions about this item

When will the polyurethane tread on this 5 in rigid plate caster need replacing?

The polyurethane tread is non-marking and bonded to a polyolefin core; replace the caster when the tread shows visible wear or flat spots that affect rolling.

What load limit is reached first when this 250 lb rated caster runs continuously?

The 250 lb load rating is the maximum capacity; sustained loads at or near this limit will cause the tread to heat and wear faster than lighter loads.

How much heat or noise does this rigid plate caster produce during all-day use?

The polyurethane-on-polyolefin wheel runs quietly on smooth floors; heat builds only when the caster carries loads close to the 250 lb rating for extended periods.
