12 in Semi-Pneumatic Wheel 140 lb Load

This 12 in semi-pneumatic wheel carries a 140 lb load rating and uses a ribbed tread pattern for grip on yard surfaces. It mounts on a 5/8 in axle with a centre-mount hub that is 3 1/4 in long and made of steel. The wheel width is 3 7/8 in and the rim is a standard tire type.

Check Axle Size and Hub Clearance

Before ordering, measure the existing axle diameter to confirm it matches the 5/8 in requirement. Verify that the hub length of 3 1/4 in fits between the fork or frame arms without binding. Ensure the load rating of 140 lb meets the weight of the cart or barrow when fully loaded.

Fits Yard Carts and Wheelbarrows

The wheel replaces a worn tyre on yard carts and wheelbarrows that use a 5/8 in axle and a centre-mount hub. Its steel hub resists deformation under load while the semi-pneumatic construction eliminates the need for air pressure checks. The ribbed tread maintains traction on grass, gravel and paved paths.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the 12 in semi-pneumatic wheel and do I need to buy an axle separately?

The box contains the wheel with its steel hub and ribbed tread. A 5/8 in axle is not included and must be sourced separately.

Which version of the 12 in wheel matches a 140 lb load rating and a 5/8 in axle?

The 12x3 semi-pneumatic model with a centre-mount hub, 3 1/4 in hub length and steel hub is the version rated for 140 lb on a 5/8 in axle.

How does the 140 lb load rating translate when the wheel is fitted to a wheelbarrow or cart?

The 140 lb figure is the maximum weight the wheel can support when mounted on a 5/8 in axle; the actual capacity depends on the cart frame and load distribution.
