Product Identity

The Value Brand standard duty tarp is a 28 ft 10 in by 49 ft 2 in polyethylene cover designed for general outdoor protection. It suits homeowners, contractors and agricultural users who need a lightweight waterproof barrier for equipment, materials or temporary shelter.

Installation and Common Issues

The tarp is lightweight at 2.2 oz per square yard and features aluminum grommets spaced every 24 inches along heat sealed seams. Installation is straightforward with rope or bungee cords, though the standard duty fabric can tear if overtightened or subjected to sharp edges without padding.

Deciding Specification

The 3.2 mil thickness defines the tarp as standard duty rather than heavy duty. Buyers needing long term UV exposure, heavy snow loads or abrasion resistance should select a heavier mil product instead.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the tarp is performing correctly after I secure it?

Verify that water beads and runs off the polyethylene surface without soaking through, that the heat-sealed seams show no leakage, and that the aluminum grommets spaced every 24 in hold tie-downs without tearing the reinforced edges.

What comes in the package and what must I supply myself?

The box contains the blue standard-duty polyethylene tarp measuring 28 ft 10 in by 49 ft 2 in with heat-sealed seams and aluminum grommets every 24 in; you must provide rope, bungee cords or stakes to anchor the grommets.

Which finished size should I select for a 30 ft by 50 ft coverage area?

Choose the tarp with finished dimensions of 28 ft 10 in x 49 ft 2 in, which is the standard cut size for a nominal 30 x 50 ft requirement.
