Value Brand Standard Duty Tarp 7 ft 4 in x 9 ft 6 in 15 Mil Black

Standard Duty Tarp 7 ft 4 in x 9 ft 6 in

This standard duty tarp measures 7 ft 4 in by 9 ft 6 in finished size and is built from 15 mil vinyl weighing 13 oz per square yard. Brass grommets are spaced every 24 inches along rope reinforced, single stitched edges. The black cover is waterproof, flame resistant, mildew resistant, tear resistant and UV resistant. It suits general purpose shielding where heavy duty reinforcement is not required.

Installation notes and common issues

Lay the tarp flat and secure each brass grommet with rope or bungee cords spaced to match the 24 inch spacing. Vinyl can stiffen in cold weather so allow it to warm before unfolding to avoid stress on the single stitched seams. The rope reinforced hem holds well under normal tension but may pull through if shock loaded or if grommets are spaced wider than the 24 inch pattern. Ensure anchor points align with every grommet to distribute load evenly.

Capacity and headroom

The 15 mil thickness and 13 oz fabric weight handle rain, sun and light wind without leaking or tearing. Waterproof performance holds for extended outdoor exposure while UV resistance slows degradation under direct sunlight. Standard duty rating means the tarp will not withstand sustained high winds, heavy snow loads or sharp abrasion. For long term structural covers or severe weather sites a heavier grade is appropriate.
