Heavy-Duty Swivel Plate Caster

This new ZORO SELECT swivel plate caster is built for wheelbarrows and carts that must move heavy loads across work sites. The cast-iron wheel and standard mounting plate suit equipment owners who need a single replacement caster rated for industrial use. It is not for buyers who require a matching set of four or a complete wheelbarrow assembly.

1200 lb Load Rating Decides Fit

The caster carries a 1200 lb load rating, which is the single figure that determines whether it matches your equipment’s weight requirement. An 8 in wheel diameter and 2 in wheel width support that capacity on a cast-iron tread and core. If your cart or barrow specifies a lower or higher rating, this caster will not be the correct replacement.

Side Pedal Brake Adds Control

A side pedal brake is fitted as standard, letting the operator lock the wheel without tools or extra hardware. The tread is non-marking, so it protects finished floors while the cast-iron construction resists wear. No swivel lock is included, so the caster swivels freely when the brake is released.

Questions about this item

What does the 1200 lb load rating mean when the caster is mounted on a cart?

It is the maximum weight the single caster can carry when the load is evenly distributed across all wheels on the equipment.

How does the standard plate mounting pattern limit the bolts or equipment I can attach it to?

The plate has pre-drilled holes spaced for standard industrial bolts; you must match that bolt pattern on your cart or frame.

What clearance and hardware do I need to install this 8 in cast iron wheel?

You need vertical space for the 8 in wheel diameter plus the plate thickness, plus four bolts that fit the standard plate holes.
