Swivel Plate Caster 1000 lb Load

This single phenolic wheel caster carries a 1000 lb load rating on a 5 inch diameter wheel with a 2 inch width. The phenolic tread and core are non-marking, making the unit suitable for indoor floors. It arrives new and is classified under wheelbarrows and carts for yard and material-handling use.

Prop 65 Chemical Notice

California Proposition 65 warnings indicate the caster contains a chemical known to cause cancer and a chemical known to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. No additional accessories, locks, or brakes are bundled with the caster. The only change from a bare wheel is the mounted swivel plate ready for bolting.

Bolt-On Swivel Plate Installation

The caster installs by bolting the top plate to the equipment frame; no brake or swivel lock is included, so the wheel rotates freely once mounted. Phenolic wheels can be brittle under sharp impact, so avoid dropping loaded carts onto uneven surfaces. Verify bolt-hole spacing matches your frame before drilling.

Questions about this item

How often will the phenolic wheel need replacement under a 1000 lb load?

The phenolic wheel is a single-piece moulding with no separate tread, so it wears as one unit; inspect the running surface periodically and replace the caster when flat spots or cracks appear.

What stops the caster from rolling when the cart is fully loaded to 1000 lb?

This model has no brake and no swivel lock, so the only resistance comes from the swivel bearing friction and the phenolic wheel's rolling resistance on the floor.

Does the caster generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day use at 1000 lb?

Phenolic wheels run quieter than steel and produce minimal heat; expect low rolling noise on smooth concrete and only slight bearing warmth after continuous operation.
