Swivel Plate Caster for Carts

This Zoro Select swivel plate caster is built for wheelbarrows and carts that need a 5 in polyurethane wheel. The non-marking tread protects finished floors while the polyolefin core supports a 250 lb load rating. A fixed plate mount bolts directly to the equipment frame. No brake or swivel lock is included with this model.

Suitable for light industrial carts

Maintenance teams and shop operators who need a single replacement wheel for platform trucks or utility carts will find this caster fits the 250 lb requirement. Buyers who want a braking mechanism to hold a loaded cart on an incline should look at a different caster type. Applications requiring a directional lock for straight-line tracking are not served by this swivel-only design.

250 lb load rating decides fit

The 250 lb capacity is the specification that determines whether this caster matches the equipment weight. Exceeding this rating risks wheel deformation and premature failure of the swivel raceway. Confirm the combined weight of the cart and its maximum load stays within this limit before installation. The polyurethane tread and polyolefin core are built to this rated capacity.

Questions about this item

Will the 5 in polyurethane wheel roll smoothly on my existing 1 1/4 in axle cart?

The wheel width is 1 1/4 in and the diameter is 5 in, so it matches that axle size; the polyolefin core and polyurethane tread are designed for standard cart hubs.

How can I confirm the 250 lb load rating is holding after I bolt the plate on?

Apply the rated weight evenly; the wheel should rotate freely without flat-spotting and the swivel action must stay smooth with no binding at the raceway.

Does the box include mounting bolts for the plate or just the caster itself?

Only the single swivel plate caster is supplied; mounting hardware for the plate pattern is not included and must be sourced separately.
