Blue polyethylene tarp for general coverage

This 40 x 60 ft standard-duty tarp is made from blue polyethylene with a 5.1 mil thickness. It is designed for temporary weather protection, ground cover or equipment shielding in construction, landscaping or storage settings. The material resists mildew, tearing and UV exposure while remaining waterproof.

Check finished dimensions and grommet spacing

The finished size measures 38 ft 6 in by 59 ft, which is smaller than the cut size of 40 x 60 ft. Aluminium grommets are spaced every 36 in along the heat-sealed seams, so verify that your tie-down points match this spacing. The fabric weight is 3.4 oz/sq yd and the tarp is not breathable, insulated or high-visibility.

Reinforced edges and aluminium grommets included

Rope-reinforced, heat-sealed seams and aluminium grommets are built into the tarp, so no separate fasteners or edge tape are required. The blue-green colour provides basic visibility without a high-visibility rating. No additional accessories, repair kits or software are supplied with this product.

Questions about this item

Does the 40 x 60 ft tarp come with ropes or bungees, or do I need to buy tie-downs separately?

The tarp has aluminum grommets every 36 inches along the edges for tying down. Ropes, bungees or other fasteners are not included and must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the cut size of 40 x 60 ft or the finished size of 38 ft 6 in x 59 ft for my project?

The cut size is the material before hemming; the finished size is 38 ft 6 in by 59 ft after heat-sealed seams. Use the finished dimensions when measuring coverage for your project.

What does the 5.1 mil thickness mean for durability when the tarp is used outdoors?

At 5.1 mil thick with 3.4 oz/sq yd polyethylene, the tarp is rated standard duty. It is waterproof, UV resistant, mildew resistant and tear resistant for general outdoor protection.
