6 x 10 ft Cotton Canvas Tarp

This green cotton canvas tarp measures six by ten feet cut size and finishes at five feet six inches by nine feet six inches. It is built for standard duty coverage in outdoor or industrial settings. The material weighs ten ounces per square yard and is twenty mils thick. Nickel plated brass grommets are spaced twenty four inches apart with a half inch inside diameter.

Flame and mildew resistant finish

The canvas is treated to resist flames and mildew while remaining water resistant. Double stitched seams reinforce the edges against tearing during regular use. This specification determines whether the tarp meets the durability needs of a given job site or storage application.

Breathable cotton runs warmer when covered

The fabric is not breathable so heat can build up beneath the tarp in direct sunlight. Standard duty weight keeps handling noise low when the cover is moved or secured. No power draw is involved as this is a passive protective cover.

Questions about this item

How much smaller is the finished tarp compared to the 6 x 10 ft cut size?

The finished dimensions are 5 ft 6 in by 9 ft 6 in, so the tarp shrinks about six inches on each side after hemming.

What does the 20 mil thickness actually provide for standard duty use?

At 20 mil with 10 oz/sq yd cotton canvas, the material resists flame and mildew while staying water resistant, not fully waterproof.

Will the half-inch nickel-plated brass grommets spaced every 24 inches fit standard tie-down hooks?

Yes, the 0.5 in inside diameter works with common bungee cords, rope and carabiners, and the 24 in spacing gives plenty of anchor points.
