Thread Sealant Tape 1/2" White 43 ft

This thread sealant tape is designed for general-purpose pipe thread sealing. It comes in a 1/2 inch width and provides 43 feet of length. The tape is suitable for use on brass and steel materials with thread diameters up to 3/4 inch. It operates across a wide temperature range from -400 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit.

Suits plumbers and maintenance workers sealing

This tape handles liquid pressures up to 10,000 psi and gas pressures up to 2,000 psi. Its linear density falls between 0.7 and 0.8 g/cc. It is not intended for specialized chemical sealing applications beyond general-purpose thread sealing. Buyers needing tapes for oxygen lines or specific aggressive media should verify compatibility separately.

Simple wrap application on clean male threads

Apply the tape by wrapping it clockwise around clean male pipe threads before assembly. Overlap each wrap slightly to ensure full coverage. Common issues include using too few wraps which can cause leaks, or applying tape to dirty threads which prevents a proper seal. Ensure the tape does not overhang the thread end to avoid shredding inside the pipe.
