Safety Yellow Steel End Post

Powder Coated Finish And Bolt On Mounting

The powder coated steel construction resists corrosion and weather exposure without additional treatment. Bolt on mounting keeps the post secure under lateral loads from rail tension. Four mounting holes spaced eight inches on center distribute force evenly across the base plate.

Fixed Eighteen Inch Height And Ten Inch Base

Post height is fixed at eighteen inches and the mounting plate measures ten inches square. The post cross section measures five inches by five inches with a seven eighths inch mounting hole diameter. This post only accepts single level guard rail components listed in the compatibility range.

Questions about this item

How do I bolt the 10 x 10 in mounting plate with its four 7/8 in holes spaced 8 in on centre?

Align the plate so the four 7/8 in diameter holes match your anchor pattern at 8 in centres, insert grade-appropriate bolts through each hole, and torque them to the specification for your substrate; the 30 lb post will not stay plumb if any bolt is left loose.

Will the powder-coated safety-yellow steel need repainting or rust repair over time?

The factory powder coat resists corrosion under normal outdoor exposure; inspect annually for chips or scratches, then touch up with a compatible yellow enamel to prevent rust from forming on the bare steel underneath.

At what point does the 18 in post height limit the guard-rail level it can support?

This end post is designed for a single guard-rail level; adding a second level would exceed the 18 in height and the bolt-on mounting style, so the height itself is the first limit under sustained use.
