V-Groove Rigid Caster 800 lb

The Value Brand V-Groove Rigid Caster supports loads up to 800 lb with a four-inch iron wheel. Its V-groove tread runs on inverted angle iron track for guided linear motion. The rigid plate mount keeps the wheel fixed in one direction. A non-marking iron core protects finished floors during transport.

Sustained load behavior

The solid iron wheel and core resist deformation under continuous 800 lb loading. No brake or swivel lock means the caster rolls freely along its track without binding. The rigid housing eliminates pivot play that can develop under prolonged side forces. California Proposition 65 warnings apply to chemicals in the iron components.

Replaces fixed-track rollers

This caster upgrades worn V-groove wheels on material carts, gantry systems and conveyor transfer points. The jump is worth it when existing wheels flat-spot, bind or mark flooring. It does not suit applications needing swivel steering, braking or corrosion-resistant stainless construction. Buyers who need a second caster for a swivel-rigid pair must order the matching swivel model separately.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 800 lb rigid caster generate when it runs all day?

The caster has no motor or moving parts that produce heat or noise; it simply rolls on its iron V-groove wheel.

What mounting hardware must I already have to install the plate caster?

You need bolts or screws that match the plate’s hole pattern to secure it to your cart or frame.

Will the 4 in iron wheel work smoothly on the same track as my older casters?

Yes, the V-groove iron wheel is designed to run on standard angle-iron tracks used by many existing casters.
