Rigid V-Groove Caster

This rigid plate caster uses a V-groove wheel designed to run on inverted angle-iron track or flat floors. It is built for heavy-duty carts and wheelbarrows that need straight-line guidance without swivel movement.

1000 lb Load Rating

The caster is rated for 1000 lb per wheel, giving ample headroom for loaded yard carts, material dollies or shop equipment. Exceeding this limit will deform the iron wheel and damage the mounting plate.

Iron Wheel on Track or Floor

The solid iron wheel with a 2 in width resists wear and does not mark floors. It performs best on clean V-track; debris, uneven surfaces or soft ground will reduce rolling ease and can cause the wheel to bind.

Questions about this item

Will the 6 in. V-groove wheel track properly on the angle-iron rails I already have on my cart?

The V-groove tread is shaped to ride on inverted angle iron, so the 6 in. diameter wheel will follow your existing rails without binding.

How can I confirm the caster is rolling freely and carrying its rated load after I bolt it on?

Spin the wheel by hand — it should turn smoothly on its roller bearing — then load the cart up to 1000 lb and verify the wheel stays centred in the groove without wobble.

Does the box include mounting bolts or do I need to supply my own hardware for the plate?

The caster ships as a single rigid plate unit; mounting bolts, nuts and washers for the four-hole pattern are not included and must be purchased separately.
