Tire specification and fitment

The Vantage UHP 245/45R17 99W XL is a high-performance all-season tire built for passenger vehicles. It carries a load index of 99 and a W speed rating approved for up to 168 mph. The asymmetric tread pattern and silica compound deliver year-round traction on wet and dry roads.

Rim diameter and load requirement check

Verify that your wheels are 17 inches in diameter and that the vehicle manufacturer specifies an XL load range for this axle. The tire has a section width of 245 mm and an overall diameter of 25.7 inches, so confirm adequate clearance before ordering.

Sustained high-speed and wet-road behaviour

A UTQG treadwear rating of 460 and a 50,000 mile warranty indicate durable compound life under daily driving. Circumferential grooves evacuate water to resist hydroplaning during extended rain exposure, while the continuous contact patch maintains steering response at highway speeds.

Which load rating should I choose for the VANTAGE UHP 245/45R17 — the XL 99W or a standard-load version?

What does the 460 UTQG treadwear rating mean for real-world mileage on the VANTAGE UHP 245/45R17?
