Compact 2.5K dash camera with GPS

The Vantrue E1 records 2592 by 1944 pixel footage through a Sony CMOS sensor behind a 1.5 inch screen. Built‑in 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi links to a free smartphone app for live view, settings and GPS track export. A super‑capacitor replaces a battery for wider temperature tolerance and the magnetic adhesive mount tucks behind the rear‑view mirror.

Drivers who want discreet 2.5K recording

Voice control works only in English, Japanese, Russian and Chinese, so speakers of other languages lose hands‑free operation. The single‑channel design captures the road ahead only; buyers who need cabin or rear coverage must look at dual‑camera systems. A CPL filter and microSD card are sold separately.

512 GB maximum microSD capacity

The camera supports cards up to 512 GB; larger cards are not recognised and smaller ones fill quickly at 2.5K resolution. Choose a high‑endurance card to match the 24 hour parking mode and buffered motion detection write cycles.

Questions about this item

Does the super-capacitor design keep the 1.5-inch unit cool during 24-hour parking mode?

The capacitor replaces a battery and tolerates wider temperature extremes, so the camera stays reliable during continuous parking recording.

What separate purchase is required before the 2592×1944P dash cam can record?

A microSD card up to 512GB must be bought separately; the supplier recommends a Vantrue-branded card.

Will the 40mm CPL filter thread onto the lens if I keep my older windscreen mount?

The 40mm CPL filter is sold separately and fits the E1 lens; compatibility with a different mount depends on that mount’s clearance.
