Farmhouse Barn Dome Light

The Vaxcel Dorado T0484 is a single-light outdoor fixture with a green and white finish. Its farmhouse-inspired design suits porches, entryways and garages. The open shade maximises light spread while the built-in photocell adds automatic dusk-to-dawn operation. It is rated for wet locations and dark-sky compliant.

Straightforward Wall Mount

The open bottom allows quick bulb changes without tools once the fixture is wired. Installation follows standard junction-box mounting for a single 60 watt E26 medium-base bulb. The photocell is factory-fitted so no extra wiring is needed, but the bulb itself is not supplied. Verify the supply voltage matches your circuit before connecting.

60 Watt Capacity and Coverage

One 60 watt E26 bulb powers the fixture; LED equivalents are compatible for lower draw. The 15 by 12.25 by 23 inch shade throws light across a typical porch or garage bay. Output drops off beyond the open aperture, so larger yards will need additional units. The photocell prevents daytime waste but cannot be overridden manually.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the dusk-to-dawn photocell is functioning after mounting the Dorado barn light?

After installation, cover the photocell sensor completely to simulate darkness; the fixture should illuminate within seconds. Remove the cover and the light will turn off, confirming the automatic cycle works.

What components are included with the T0484 and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the green-white farmhouse barn dome fixture with built-in photocell and E26 socket. One 60 watt medium-base bulb is required but not included; LED equivalents are compatible.

Which version of the Dorado should I choose for a standard covered porch installation?

The single T0484 model measures 15 inches wide, 12.25 inches high and 23 inches deep with an ETL wet rating, making it the correct choice for covered porches, entryways or garages.
