Outdoor Flush Mount Fixture

The Vaxcel Hyde Park T0470 is a 12-in outdoor flush mount designed for covered porches and entryways. Its espresso bronze finish and clear seeded glass suit mission-style and prairie-inspired decors. The fixture is ETL and C ETL listed for safety and damp-rated for exterior use. It belongs to a full coordinating collection for unified outdoor lighting.

Installation Requirements

Verify the junction box can support the steel housing and that wiring accommodates two E26 medium base sockets. The unit measures 12-in wide by 5.25-in high by 12-in deep, so confirm the mounting surface provides adequate clearance. A compatible wall switch is needed for dimming functionality. Mounting hardware and instructions are included for straightforward setup.

Sustained Operation Behavior

Under continuous use the steel construction and damp rating maintain integrity in covered exterior locations. Heat from two 60 watt bulbs dissipates through the open glass design during extended evening operation. LED compatible sockets run cooler if lower-wattage lamps are chosen. The dimmable circuit allows reduced output to lessen thermal load over long periods.
