Open-cage farmhouse pendant

The Vaxcel Hayes pendant uses an open black steel cage with four E12 candelabra sockets for vintage Edison bulbs. Damp-rated construction suits covered porches, kitchens and bathrooms. The fixture hangs from an adjustable chain and carries a UL safety listing.

Adjustable chain installation

The pendant includes 72 inches of chain so the hanging height can be set between 23.25 and 93.25 inches. Wiring follows standard ceiling-box practice; the open cage removes the need to clean glass panels. Dimmable operation requires compatible dimmable bulbs and a matching wall switch.

Sustained use in damp locations

UL listing confirms the materials meet safety standards for continuous operation in humid environments. The steel cage and black finish resist corrosion on covered porches or above kitchen islands. Heat dissipates freely through the open design during extended burning periods.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Hayes pendant is working correctly after installation?

Turn on the wall switch; all four E12 candelabra sockets should illuminate evenly. If the fixture is connected to a compatible dimmer, adjust the slider to verify smooth dimming without flicker.

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The package includes the black steel cage frame, 72 inches of chain for adjustable height, and mounting hardware. Four 60 watt E12 candelabra-base bulbs are not included and must be bought separately.

Which version of the Hayes pendant should I choose for my space?

This model is offered in a single 16 inch wide by 21.25 inch high cage with a black finish. Select it when you need a four-light farmhouse lantern that adjusts from 23.25 to 93.25 inches via the supplied chain.
