Franklin Dualux Motion-Sensor Wall Light

The Vaxcel T0385 Franklin Dualux is a 10" outdoor wall light styled as a traditional barn lantern. It suits homeowners who want a classic farmhouse or transitional look combined with automated security lighting for entries, patios or outbuildings.

Wiring and mounting integration

The fixture mounts to a standard wall junction box and operates on mains voltage, so it needs a switched or always-live circuit and a weatherproof box. Its integrated 180-degree motion sensor and dusk-to-dawn photocell remove the need for separate sensors or timers, freeing up wall space and simplifying the wiring run.

Sustained overnight operation

Dualux logic keeps the lamp at a low ambient level from dusk until dawn, then ramps to full brightness for a set duration whenever motion is detected up to 40 feet away. This two-stage cycle means the fitting runs continuously at reduced output through the night rather than only in short bursts, so the driver and bulb see steady thermal loading instead of repeated cold starts.
