18-in Satin Nickel Farmhouse Pendant

The Vaxcel W0376 Akron is an 18-in wide two-light wall sconce finished in satin nickel with matte white interior goose-neck shades. It mounts with a 7.28-in by 4.92-in backplate and extends 10 in from the wall. Damp-rated construction suits kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, entryways, bedrooms, offices and foyers.

Replaces single-shade vanity lights

Swapping a single-shade fixture for this twin-shade unit doubles bulb capacity while keeping the same wall footprint. The jump is worth it when a vanity mirror, hallway run or entry console needs broader, more even illumination without adding a second junction box.

Sustained output with mixed bulb types

Rated for two 60-watt E26 medium-base bulbs, the shade geometry and white interior maintain consistent light spread whether LED, vintage Edison filament or halogen lamps are installed. Dimming remains stable across all compatible bulb types when paired with a dimmable lamp and wall-switch dimmer.

Questions about this item

What wall space does the 7.28-in W x 4.92-in H backplate need for mounting?

The backplate measures 7.28 inches wide by 4.92 inches high and requires a standard junction box centred behind it.

Which step is often missed when wiring the two E26 sockets?

Connecting both black leads to the hot wire and both white leads to neutral before securing the canopy; skipping one socket leaves a dark shade.

How often should the matte-white interior of the goose-neck shades be cleaned?

Wipe the interior with a dry microfibre cloth whenever dust dims the reflected light; no liquids are needed.
