Convex blind-spot mirror with an 8 1/2-inch diameter and stainless-steel backing for vehicle side mounting

  • Stainless steel backing resists corrosion
  • Fixed offset mount suits driver or passenger side
  • Manual adjustment keeps operation simple

Product identity

The Velvac 708444 is a convex spot mirror designed for vehicle side mounting on both driver and passenger positions. It serves drivers who need an expanded field of view to monitor blind spots during lane changes and parking manoeuvres.

Installation notes

The offset mount configuration bolts directly to existing mirror arms or brackets using standard hardware. The fixed convex surface requires no adjustment mechanism, so misalignment only occurs if the mounting surface itself is bent or loose.

Deciding specification

The mirror measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter with a stainless steel backing that resists corrosion in road-salt environments. Buyers who need a heated or motorised glass unit should look elsewhere, as this model provides neither function.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Velvac 708444 spot mirror is correctly aligned after installation?

Sit in the driver seat and check that the 8 1/2 inch convex glass shows the blind-spot area alongside the vehicle without overlapping the main mirror view.

What components come with the Velvac 708444 and what must I supply myself?

The package includes the stainless-steel backed convex mirror and its offset mounting hardware; you must provide the mounting surface fasteners and any wiring if adding heat later.

Which Velvac 708444 version should I choose for a heated or motorised setup?

This single 708444 model is non-heated and non-motorised; if you need power adjustment or heating, select a different Velvac part number that lists those features.
