Velvac 708509 Convex Spot Mirror

The Velvac 708509 is a 7 1/2 inch round convex mirror designed for vehicle side mounting on driver or passenger positions. It provides an adjustable blind-spot view without heating or motorised movement, aimed at drivers who want wider rear visibility. Stainless steel backing and mirror finish resist corrosion in daily road use.

Adjustable Convex Blind Spot Coverage

The convex glass expands the field of view to reveal traffic hidden by standard flat mirrors, while the adjustable mount lets the driver set the exact angle needed. No wiring or power is required because the unit is neither heated nor motorised, keeping installation simple. Stainless steel construction maintains clarity and finish through weather exposure.

Suited For Drivers Needing Simple Blind Spot Aid

This mirror suits owners of trucks, vans or RVs who want a bolt-on convex spot mirror without electrical connections. Buyers who require heated glass for icy climates or motorised adjustment from the cabin should look at alternative designs that include those features.

Questions about this item

Will the stainless-steel backing on the Velvac 708509 resist corrosion, or will it need replacing?

The stainless-steel backing and finish are built to resist rust and corrosion, so under normal driving conditions the mirror should not require replacement.

What limits how long the Velvac 708509 offset convex mirror can stay in position under continuous vibration?

The adjustable mounting hardware holds the 7 1/2 in mirror firmly; the mechanical joint is the first point that could loosen after prolonged road vibration.

Does the Velvac 708509 generate heat or draw power when used all day on a truck?

The mirror is not heated or motorised, so it produces no heat and consumes no electrical power during all-day operation.
