Replacement Convex Glass Valve

This Velvac 709449 replacement convex glass is designed for rectangular mirrors with a convex profile. It serves automotive and commercial vehicle operators who need a direct replacement for damaged or worn mirror glass. The part restores the wide-angle view required for safe manoeuvring and lane changes.

Sustained clarity and fit

The convex glass maintains its optical curvature and reflective quality through continuous road vibration, temperature swings and exposure to the elements. Its rectangular shape matches the original housing so the mirror assembly retains its factory adjustment range without distortion over long service intervals.

Straightforward installation

The glass seats into the existing mirror frame using the original retention clips or adhesive pads, so no specialised tools are required. The most common issue is ordering the wrong profile; verify that the original mirror is rectangular and convex before purchase to avoid fitment problems.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the Velvac 709449 convex glass generate when exposed to direct sunlight all day?

The glass is a passive optical component with no electrical parts, so it produces no heat of its own and simply assumes the ambient temperature.

Does the Velvac 709449 replacement glass include the mirror housing or mounting hardware needed for installation?

The item is the convex glass only; you must reuse your existing rectangular mirror housing and mounting hardware to complete the repair.

Will the Velvac 709449 convex glass fit the rectangular mirror assembly already on my older vehicle?

It is designed as a direct replacement for rectangular convex mirrors, so it matches the profile and shape of the original factory glass.
