Built for high-throughput creative work

The Velztorm Armix CTO desktop pairs a 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X processor with 128GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD. A GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR6 memory handles GPU-accelerated tasks. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the system.

Sustained load behaviour

A 240mm AIO liquid cooler manages CPU temperatures during extended all-core workloads at up to 5.6GHz boost clocks. The 1000W power supply delivers stable current to the GPU and memory subsystem without throttling. RGB-lit fans maintain case airflow during long render or compile sessions.

Interface practical limits

The RTX 3070 connects via PCIe 4.0, capping GPU bandwidth at that generation's ceiling. WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 provide wireless connectivity within their respective protocol limits. Seven USB 3.1 Gen2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.1 Type-C Gen1 ports define the available peripheral bandwidth.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler run when the Ryzen 9 7900X and RTX 3070 are under sustained load?

The 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler handles the 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X heat output, while the 1000W power supply provides headroom for the RTX 3070 and 128GB DDR5 during extended gaming sessions.

Which display cable and monitor input do I need to use the GeForce RTX 3070 video outputs on this desktop?

The RTX 3070 provides one HDMI and one DisplayPort connection, so a monitor with either input and the matching cable is required for video.

Will my existing USB 2.0 peripherals work with the seven USB 3.1 Gen2 and four USB 2.0 ports on this system?

Yes, the four dedicated USB 2.0 ports and the seven USB 3.1 Gen2 ports are backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices such as keyboards, mice and headsets.
