Compact AMD Ryzen 9 5950X SFF gaming desktop

The Velztorm Mini Lux packs a 16-core 3.40 GHz processor with 64 MB cache into a 10.5-inch wide small-form-factor chassis. A 240 mm AIO liquid cooler keeps thermals in check while a 750 W supply powers the build. It ships with Windows 10 Home and 32 GB of DDR4 memory.

PCIe 4.0 GPU and Wi-Fi 802.11n limits

The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti runs on a PCIe 4.0 link with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, so bandwidth scales with the platform. Wireless connectivity tops out at 802.11n speeds, which may restrict network throughput compared with newer Wi-Fi standards. The single HDMI and DisplayPort outputs drive one primary display each.

1 TB NVMe SSD decides storage headroom

A single 1 TB PCIe NVMe drive holds the operating system and a modest game library; there is no secondary hard drive or additional M.2 slot mentioned. Buyers who want more storage or a second GPU will need a larger chassis. The SFF layout and fixed 750 W unit also limit future expansion.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core or a lower-core CPU for this Mini Lux?

The Mini Lux comes with the Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core 32-thread processor at 3.40 GHz base and 4.9 GHz boost with 64 MB cache; no alternative CPU is offered for this model.

What does the RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB GDDR6 deliver in this small-form-factor build?

The RTX 3060 Ti provides 8 GB GDDR6 on a PCIe 4.0 interface, supporting VR-ready gaming, G-SYNC and DirectX 12 within the 750 W power budget of the SFF chassis.

How fast is the 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD over the motherboard interface?

The 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD runs on a PCIe 4.0 x4 link, so sequential reads and writes are capped by the Gen 4.0 lane speed rather than by the drive itself.
