System summary

This Velztorm Nix desktop pairs a six-core AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics card provides 4GB of GDDR5 video memory. It ships with Windows 10 Home and a 750W power supply in a white chassis.

Interface limits

The GTX 1050Ti connects over PCIe x16 3.0 and supports DirectX 12 for current titles. External devices can use three USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 port, four USB 2.0 ports and a single HDMI output. Wired networking is handled by an RJ-45 Ethernet port.

Deciding specification

The GTX 1050Ti with 4GB GDDR5 determines whether this system meets a buyer's performance target. It suits 1080p gaming at modest settings and general creative work but will not satisfy players who need higher frame rates at 1440p or 4K. Buyers who want more graphics memory or newer GPU architecture should consider a different configuration.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD or add a hard drive for more space?

The system ships with a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD and no hard drive bay is mentioned, so the single drive is the only factory storage.

What does the Ryzen 5 5600X 4.6 GHz boost clock deliver in actual games?

The 6-core 5600X hits 4.6 GHz on light threads, giving strong 1080p frame rates in esports titles while the GTX 1050Ti 4GB GDDR5 becomes the limit in heavier scenes.

Does the USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port run at 10 Gbps or 5 Gbps?

USB 3.2 Gen1 is the 5 Gbps signalling rate, so the Type-C port caps at that speed.
