Ryzen 5 5600X desktop for 1440p gaming

This Velztorm Nix system pairs a six-core Ryzen 5 5600X running at 3.70 GHz up to 4.6 GHz with an RTX 3060 Ti carrying 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. The 64 GB DDR4 complement and 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD give ample headroom for modern titles and multitasking workloads. It ships with Windows 10 Home and a 750 W power supply in a snow-white chassis.

Air cooling and 750 W power in daily use

An air cooler handles the CPU while the RTX 3060 Ti operates within the 750 W budget for typical gaming sessions. The platform includes Ethernet LAN and a spread of USB 3.2, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports plus HDMI and a USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 connection. DirectX 12 Ultimate support is present for current titles.

Stepping up from entry-level 1080p builds

The 64 GB DDR4 and 2 TB NVMe SSD replace the 16 GB and 512 GB configurations often found in starter systems, removing memory and storage bottlenecks for content creation. Buyers who want more storage than 2 TB or a second graphics card should look elsewhere, as the chassis and power supply do not support those additions. The jump is worthwhile when 1440p frame rates and heavy multitasking matter.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD and which step is often missed?

Mount the drive in an M.2 slot, secure it with the screw, then initialise the volume in Disk Management; the step people skip is assigning a drive letter so Windows can see it.

What maintenance or replacement will the 750W power supply need later?

Clean dust from the intake and exhaust vents every few months; if fan noise rises or voltages drift, replace the unit with another 750W ATX supply.

What limit appears first on the Ryzen 5 5600X during sustained loads with the air cooler?

The CPU will hit its thermal ceiling and reduce clocks to stay within safe temperatures; keeping case airflow clear delays that point.
