Velztorm Gemmix gaming desktop

The Velztorm Gemmix is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-core processor and a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory. It includes 16GB DDR4 system memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD for storage. The system runs Windows 11 Pro and is cooled by a 240mm AIO liquid cooler inside a black chassis.

Suits 1440p gaming; not for 4K ultra

This desktop suits players targeting high refresh rates at 1440p resolution in modern titles. The 8-core CPU and 16GB graphics memory handle current games well. Buyers who want 4K ultra settings with ray tracing enabled or who run memory-heavy creative workloads alongside gaming should look at systems with more system RAM and a newer GPU architecture.

16GB DDR4 system memory is the limiting factor

The single specification that decides fit is the 16GB DDR4 system memory capacity. It matches the graphics card VRAM but leaves no headroom for background applications, streaming software or large texture packs. If your workflow regularly exceeds 16GB RAM usage, this configuration will bottleneck performance regardless of GPU power.

Questions about this item

Do I need to buy a monitor separately for the HDMI and Display Port outputs?

Yes, no display is included so you must supply your own monitor with HDMI or Display Port input.

Will my existing USB 2.0 peripherals work with the six USB 2.0 ports and the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 port?

All six USB 2.0 ports accept legacy devices directly, and the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 port is backward compatible with USB 2.0 gear using the appropriate cable or adapter.

How can I verify the Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 is running at its intended clocks after setup?

Open Radeon Software, select the Performance tab, and confirm the GPU core clock reaches up to 4.6 GHz and memory shows 16 GB GDDR6 during a 3D load.
