Novux desktop for 1440p gaming

The Velztorm Novux is a white-finished desktop built around a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12600K processor with 10 cores and 16 threads. It pairs that CPU with a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card carrying 16GB of GDDR6 memory. The system ships with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SATA SSD, running Windows 10 Pro out of the box.

Step up from mid-range builds

This configuration replaces a typical six-core processor and an 8GB graphics card with a 10-core chip that reaches 4.9 GHz and a GPU equipped with 16GB of video memory. The jump is worthwhile when you need higher frame rates at 1440p or want headroom for content creation alongside gaming. The 2TB SATA SSD provides ample space for a large library without relying on secondary drives.

Liquid cooling under sustained load

A 240mm AIO liquid cooler handles the CPU during extended sessions, while the 750W power supply delivers stable power to both the processor and graphics card. The DDR5 memory operates at 4800MHz, maintaining bandwidth during long rendering or gaming workloads. The chassis includes RGB fans for airflow, and 802.11n Wi-Fi plus wired Ethernet keep the connection steady.

Questions about this item

What case clearance does the 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler need?

The 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler requires case fan brackets spaced for a 240mm radiator and enough room for the pump block and tubing to sit over the Intel Core i5-12600K socket area.

Which step is often missed when installing the pre-filled AIO cooler?

The pump power cable must be plugged into the motherboard CPU fan header so the pump runs at full speed; leaving it unplugged or on a chassis fan header is the common oversight.

When should the 2TB SATA SSD be considered for replacement?

Replace the 2TB SATA SSD when its SMART health indicators show reallocated sectors or when sustained write speeds drop well below the drive's rated performance.
