Velztorm Pilum desktop for high-memory gaming

The Velztorm Pilum desktop pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor with 128GB of DDR4 memory and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card. A 512GB SATA SSD and a 6TB hard drive provide fast boot and deep storage in one chassis. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for immediate use.

Upgrade from limited RAM and single-drive builds

This configuration replaces systems capped at 16GB or 32GB of memory where large projects swap to disk. The jump is worth it when you run virtual machines, edit multi-camera timelines, or keep dozens of browser tabs alongside a game. The combined SSD and HDD removes the need to choose between speed and capacity.

Sustained load with liquid CPU cooling

A 120mm AIO liquid cooler keeps the Ryzen 7 3700X stable during long render or compile sessions, while the 750W power supply feeds the RTX 3060 Ti without throttling. The DDR4 memory runs at its rated speed continuously, so frame times stay consistent in extended gameplay. Thermal headroom remains available for multi-hour workloads.

How is the 512GB SATA SSD installed, and what is the common mistake?

The 512GB SATA SSD connects via a SATA data cable and SATA power cable to the motherboard and PSU. A common error is forgetting to connect both cables or seating the drive loosely in the bay.

When will the 750W power supply need replacement?

The 750W power supply typically lasts several years. Consider replacement if you experience instability under load, fan noise increases, or when upgrading to significantly higher-wattage components.
