Core configuration

The Velztorm Pilum is a gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor and a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 2TB SATA SSD running Windows 10 Home.

Upgrade limits

This system suits players who want a balanced 1080p rig with liquid CPU cooling and a 750W power supply. Buyers who need more than 16GB memory or additional internal drives should look elsewhere, as the configuration is fixed.

Storage interface

The 2TB drive uses a SATA connection, so read and write speeds follow the SATA standard rather than a faster protocol. If that throughput does not meet the workload, the system will not be the right choice.

Questions about this item

Which storage capacity should I pick — 512GB, 1TB or 2TB?

The listing ships with a 2TB SATA SSD; larger HDD add-ons of 1TB, 2TB, 3TB or 6TB can be selected if you need more bulk space.

What does the Ryzen 7 3700X 4.4 GHz boost mean for daily use?

The 8-core, 16-thread processor hits 4.4 GHz on demanding threads, giving strong multi-tasking and smooth frame rates in modern titles.

How fast is the SATA SSD interface in this system?

The 2TB drive runs on a SATA 6 Gb/s link, so sequential transfer speeds are capped at the SATA bus maximum.
